This set of prints ‘Vues de Sauve’ was drawn by the artist and cartoonist Robert Crumb in 1991. These black and white prints are lovely drawings of the French village in which R. Crumb lives. The artist began these works shortly after moving to France where his family obtained a historic and wonderful home in exchange for a wood box full of original artwork. One would deduce that the lovely new environment inspired such interesting and transportive pieces seeing another side to Crumb. Nice to see the ‘fine-art’ side of his work in these drawings.
