A resident of the South of France since the 1990s, Underground Comix pioneer Crumb habitually draws on placemats while awaiting service at restaurants, and eventually many of these drawings were compiled into volumes titled Waiting on Food: Restaurant Placemat Drawing. Created in mechanical pen on a fragment of a restaurant paper placemat with an image area of 12" x 7.5". Very toned, with some staining and wrinkles. In Good condition.
